Aesthetic Apparatus

Founded by poster boys Dan Ibarra & Michael Byzewski in 1999 as a side project fromtheir "real jobs", Aestetic Aparatus
as been since very active on the limited edition, screen printed concert posters scene. Not only they make rock posters, they also make really nice screenprints. "Postsynaptic Profile" a big 26x34 five color screenprint is a good example of what they do, since the use of photographic images is frequent in their work. Kenyon Bajus

Philadelphia suburban dweller and illustrator Keyon Bajus pratcice what he call graphic satire. We can not argue with him on that matter since his work as a strong socio-political dna. This 18x24 screenprint called "World Police", is not his strongest statement, but has the advantage of being featured on page 156 of the march edition of Juxtapoz.

Chris Kerr

When he's not hicking trough a magical forest, or drinking beer with elfs, multidisciplinary artist Chris Kerr make some pretty out of this world prints. His style is hard to define, but all we can say is that we very much like his particular aesthetic. Respectively entitled "Who drank all the blood?", and "Coke Kills Elves" these two screeprints are good examples of wath is going on in Kerr's mind. The first one is a 4 color 9.25x11.25 signed and number edition of 46, while the other one is a 8.5x11 two color singned and numbered edition of 26. Ericailcane, ou Eric the Dog, nous dévoile une nouvelle pièce chez POW! Fascinated by the urban landscape, the very popular designer/illustrator Evan Hecox brings us his vision of Mexico city in his solo show presented at the Kinsey/DesForges gallery in Los Angeles. For the occasion they released this 19x25 7-color screenprint from the original painting entitled "Where Bones Lie Beneath The Ground"(El Poder de Hacer). The Date Farmers On Obama

The Date Farmers have created for Upper Playground a mass produced offset poster to support the Obama campaign in the Texas primary. The same image as been release as an hand made edition of 300 18x24 signed and numberred screenprints, that you can find here They are 200$ a piece, and all the proceeds of the sale will go to the production of more campaing posters by other artists in support of the great black hope Barak Obama. We cant' get enough of that kind of propaganda!

Two Prints By Jesse Ledoux

Two cool prints by Jesse Ledoux are available at the now mentioned three times on this blog, Printed Matter at giant Robot! The two 12x36 silkscreened prints respectively intitled "Pink mountain" and "Black mountain", are signed and numbered, and are in the pure Jesse Ledoux style! Printed Matter III Going Online!

Folks at Giant Robot San Fransisco, home of the "Printed Mattter III" show (object of a previous post) told us that the artwork presented at the store gallery will go online this thursday at 4 pm pacific time. A great chance to see the work of the 54 artists presented at the show, and maybe get your hands on a nice cool print too!!

Une nouvelle sérigraphie pour Kill Pixie. Exclusivement chez nos amis de la galerie Lab101. Jeune artiste de rue, plus particulièrement les rues de Sydney en Australie, Kill Pixie est un ancien adepte du graphity, travaille maintenant en atelier. Pour ce faire, il a dû migrer vers des mediums plus soft que la traditionnel peinture-aerosole, à savoir ; l'encre, l'aquarelle, l'acrylique. Son travail dans les textures est extrêmement unorthodox et ses personnages semblent toujours sortir d'un univers paranoïaque. Il sera intéressant de voir ce jeune artiste évolué dans les années à venir !
